High Anxiety

Been a tough day today, struck by high anxiety about whether I should be doing this, whether its worthwhile, whether anyone will read, whether anyone will donate / sponsor and whether I am just going to make a massive fool of myself.

I am going to film the first episode of Cooking with Al tomorrow, unfortunately it’ll be a solo show, but not a bad thing to try work it out.

So up in morning, do a bit of work, head to gym, to supermarket, make breakfast and then meal planning for prepping next weeks lunches, shoot Cooking with Al and then edit and get some work finished. Plus iron this weeks shirts – going to make a big effort to be organised as possible.

45 minutes to start …. what am I doing!!!!!!!!

My son will not be condemned!

A story in the Herald Sun today stated that fat parents are condemning their children to obesity and disease.

In fact the research headed by Lead researcher Assoc Prof Assam El-Osta at Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute, who I met today during a story to be aired on 7 News Melbourne actually highlights that through nurture – eating well, teaching nutritional skills, fitness etc, we can actually have a positive affect on our children to be true to their Genetic code.

Amazing research, supporting what we all really know deep down, that we have to teach our children the skills for life to enable them to maximise their potential – physically, spiritually, intellectually etc.

Here’s the release from Baker IDI Heart and Diabetes Institute.

The News is out!

My hand is forced a little bit today, as Baker IDI called and asked if I’d participate in a story on Channel 7 News.

Well I did say that I’d put myself and my story out there, I just didn’t expect it to happen so soon and be in such a public forum. So I’m lined up for an interview at 11.30am – damn I knew I should have ironed that other shirt!

Not sure what I am going to say yet, probably talk about why I am doing this, the importance of taking control and responsibility for my own health and wellbeing and how I am going to approach developing the skills and knowledge to actually get back to good health and manage my life more effectively.

If you’ve found this blog because of Channel 7 News, thanks for dropping by, hopefully you can be part of my journey back to health and fitness.
